First Big Clue

Story Notes

Leanna is playing hookey from work to pursue this gut instinct about Cage. Unhappy with the report of the failed scans of Cage, she goes strait to the source. Shawn Finster is easy prey for her formidable charms. (side note, "fenster" means window in german, and Shawn both appears reflected in the window and provides a window to into Cage.)

After some cajoling, and redirection Leanna is finally able to view a looped image of Cage's scan. It is unlike anything either of them have ever seen. It is alive with sparks and filaments, and a fiery glowing mass in the center.

Leanna quickly identifies this as the pineal gland. Leanna is unaware of the huge spiritual significance of this discovery, but she latches onto it intuitively, and bolts off to do some research.

Filmmaker's Notes

Finding a place with a working CAT or MRI machine which is willing to let you shoot a movie for half a day, is not an easy task. We were very fortunate and the sight lines worked out great. Many times, the computer room is located separately from the machine, but this location worked out perfectly for us. We were able to get some cool reflection two shots.

I love Matt's red accent behind the toroid machine. Britt also got to practice his Yogic contortion poses, as the room we were in was not much bigger than a closet. But true to form he delivered some great visuals, as always.

Plus, any opportunity to drop a "Fantastic Voyage" reference is always fun.
